shipping. this is the kind of thing i expect will happen, raylan being raylan. i play him as bi but closeted for all intents and purposes in kentucky, but he'll fall into bed with, like, whoever, as long as they're interested and of age and not a completely reprehensible person. he is also not above sleeping with people he doesn't really like, so take from that what you will. it's also important to note that he is capable of being super flirty and not all of that is on purpose; please don't read it as a sign of me forcing a ship on you!

raylan is about 43 (justified canon is notoriously vague on what year it is, but he's definitely in his early 40s). in terms of the age of other characters when it comes to shipping, it completely depends on the person, but he's generally less likely to go for younger folks just because...he's old. he's an old man. he doesn't understand you whippersnappers and your tweeters and your faced books. a blanket no to anyone 19 or under, and 20 is an edge case but probably also a no.

fighting and injuring. both are cool but i expect this would have to be plotted out to some extent. it's also worth mentioning that raylan is notorious for his itchy trigger finger, with a lot of on-the-job shootings under his belt. he's not trigger happy but he wouldn't shy away from shooting someone if need be, and he'll often instigate or otherwise get into physical fights with people he dislikes. i don't really want to pull back this part of his character for the sake of being friendly with everyone, but if i think a thread is going in that direction i'll be sure to message you first!
magic and powers. obviously, raylan's canon doesn't include anything supernatural at all. he might be a little disbelieving at first and kind of stubborn when it comes to actually getting his head around some of this stuff. i understand that for people writing powered characters, playing the same "magic is real?!" threads over and over can get boring, so if you want to handwave for the sake of variety, let me know and we can talk about how it panned out!
mindreading. god please do this and also message me if you want so i can give you a more detailed rundown of exactly what's going on in his walnut sized brain.
skills. raylan's a really, really good shot, and also has a practiced and very fast quickdraw. he's a middling fistfighter, and definitely better in a gunfight, but when it comes to just, like, bullying people and generally being a shithead, he's top of the class.
offensive subjects and triggers. raylan grew up in the pretty rural south so a lot of stuff just rolls right off him, but he's quite sensitive to people who bring up his mother in a bad light. also, he's not debilitatingly claustrophobic or afraid of the dark, but will avoid mines or underground spaces as much as humanly possible.

content warnings. interacting with raylan is likely to include mention of guns, death, and police shootings. it won't be excessively gory, but violence might come up all the same. also, raylan's father was regularly both verbally and physically abusive towards both raylan and his mother. i will warn for all these topics should they come up, but feel free to opt out down below if you would prefer they not come up at all.
backtagging. always! i function by backtagging so i more than understand if things get picked up and dropped here and there. handwaving stuff that drags on for too long will always and forever be an option!
threadhopping. sure! if it's (non-private) texting conversations, it's always fine, but i'd prefer if you asked first if it was a log thread!
fourthwalling. basically, i would prefer not to.png! if your character is that type, like deadpool, then that's more than fine, but i don't really want to write threads that boil down to 'oh my god, justified is my favourite show!' or whatever because they stop being interesting pretty quickly.
